Many clients feel comfortable by having hardwood floors installed in kitchens, powder rooms and basements. The versatility of hardwood floors is amazing. Over the years your hardwood flooring may have lost its luster. We can bring back that luster by buffing the floors and apply more finish. Finishes come in various sheens such as high gloss, semi-gloss and satin.
If your hardwood floors have not been properly maintained over the years or you would like to change the color of the floor, we can sand and refinish your hardwood floors and steps. We provide a variety of colors from country white to ebony with your choice of finish, natural is most often preferred.
Many hardwood floor finishes have be produced over the years. Polyurethane is still a favorite of some clients who like the high gloss. We highly recommend the water base finish which a majority of our clients prefer because it is environmentally friendly, easy clean up, penetrates in the wood, and it dries quickly.
Repairing of hardwood flooring may be required due to animal stains, gauges or water damage. The damaged flooring can be taken up and replaced with new flooring by weaving in with the existing floor to make a floor look more uniform.
Installation of hardwood floors is one of the best ways to increase the value of your property and it will save you money in the long run by not having to replace it every so many years, unlike carpeting.
We install various types of wood flooring offered by numerous manufacturers.
Oak strip flooring is most common for a majority of our residential and commercial clients. Pine flooring can be found in older homes in certain communities. Maple flooring is widely used for athletic floors and some commercial properties because of its hardness. Parquet flooring can be found in most apartments.
We install unfinished and prefinished hardwood floors which come in a variety of widths from 2 1/4" to 8" planks (2 1/4" is standard). The thickness of strip flooring ranges from 3/8" to 3/4" (3/4" is standard). Oak strip flooring also is available with square edge, micro-beveled and beveled edges. We install hardwood flooring uniquely by using random widths, such as 3"-5"-7" or 3"-4"-5" randomly or by installing boarders with feature strips made of walnut or mahogany.
For all hardwood floors installed, we include a layer of roofing paper over the subfloor to act as a moisture barrier, we also include thresholds, reducer strips and shoe moulding. When installing hardwood floors on steps, steps nosing is included for a finished look. And finally any jobs requiring subflooring we can provide that service as well.

We install commercial residential grade carpeting, glued down direct or installed over padding. We can provide a variety of styles or patterns to suit your needs. We have direct access to the following manufacturers: Aladdin, David Hockstein, Superior Carpet and more.

We install commercial vinyl composition tiles (VCT), commercial rubber tiles and residential vinyl tiles. Vinyl composition tiles is readily available and comes in an array of colors and patterns with a standard size of 12" x 12" x l/8". We can provide manufacturers such as: Armstrong, Azrock, Colors Plus and more.
Rubber flooring available upon ordering from the manufacturers up to three weeks depending on the quantity needed. Rubber step treads with risers are available as well. Various colors and patterns are available such as raised diamond, square or circle patterns. The manufacturers available are Johnsonite or Endura.
Residential no-wax vinyl tiles are available in various patterns and colors in widths of 6" or 12". Residential tiles are also available in wood-like patterns.

Maintenance of Hardwood Floors
The water base finish we use is very easy to maintain. No waxing is required. Weekly dust mopping or vacuuming with a brush attachment is sufficient. For stubborn stains, occasionally damp mop floors with plain water or 1/4 cup of Windex per gallon of water. Area rugs can be used on hardwood floors after the finish has cured, in about two weeks. Keep walk off mats at all entrances or exits to home in order to keep dirt and grit off your wood floors. You can also apply carpet glides on the bottom of your chair and table legs to avoid scratching floors.
